That awkward moment when...

Cedar Tree is this Lebanese restaurant in good ol' Dubs I have always wanted to try. Myself and Alina went for the traditional mezze (pronounced mey-zey) under the early bird promotion- but it was quite steep  by student's budgetary, nonetheless- 18euros per person.

We were seated in a tiny little table for two and the waiter came with our order of 12 tapas-sized plates. Needless to say, it was quite a crowd in our little corner- hardly any space to move our elbows with the sheer fear of creating a scene with broken plates.

It was my first time having Lebanese food, and its good- not amazing, but good enough. I think our primary issue was how small the portion was. I suppose we were both utterly famished and with 18euros we were expecting at least more than 2 servings of spring rolls. I wasn't a big fan of pickled olives, so technically there were only 11 tiny plates of food that were actually edible.
Would I come again? Probably not in the near future.

Nothing to do with the food, of course. For one, I'm broke. For another, when I was paying with my laser card, the waiter asked me, do you want me to charge your card extra for tips?

I was like... er, no. Sorry.

He gave me that look, like I was a cheapskate. No pretending there, I am a cheapskate. And he used that portable card machine, typed in 36 euro, pursed his lips and walked away.

No "Thank you. Please come again"; no nothing. Ugh, how rude! :P

He was obviously pissed that I didn't leave tips. But I paid for my food- and I wasn't full! So yeah, no tips for you, sir!

On another note, my sister went to get her copy of One Direction's Up All Night!
So adorable T_T

My brother, Zaid surprised me with Tun M's memoir! So touched. Tsk. All the more reason to hurry home :)

Today was really sunny, and I wasted it all by staying in bed, right underneath my duvet, where its cozy. Super lazy Sunday afternoon- since I'm perpetually lethargic and fatigued, I thought I'd resort to not doing anything at all and see how I'd get on in the next week.
Creepy face- ON.

Nope, I haven't showered yet. And I'm badass like that :P

i had experienced a kinda similar situation..i hv been wanting to eat sushi though i never ate it before. there's a sushi outlet here but it's quite pricey.i could feel my throat throbbing after eating it. rase nak muntah lol. i guess sushi isnt made for people like me. but still the only diff with ur story is the waiter- *well-mannered, and CUTE too* i might just stop by at the shop again just to see her, while eating the not-for-me sushi! :P
